Volumetric weight and parcel dimensions

The scale weight alone does not determine shipping prices.

Volumetric weight = length × width × height / the service divisor, using cm. The divisor varies by carrier and service; 5000 is not universal.

Compare actual and volumetric weight; rounding, minimums and surcharges depend on the agreement. Measure each physical parcel separately.

Pre-shipment checklist

• Was the closed parcel measured?
• Are dimensions and kg separate for each parcel?
• Were carrier divisor and rounding checked?
